Steve Barlow and Steve Skidmore have written numerous titles including the Mad Myths in Puffin’s Surfer series for older, reluctant readers; Playscripts for OUP and contemporary teenage novels for Piccadilly Press. As well as being authors, they both teach English and Drama in Leicester. Steve Barlow in a further education college and Steve Skidmore in a secondary community school.

Steve Barlow and Steve Skidmore are two of the authors of the best-selling LOST DIARIES series. They met whilst teaching in Nottingham in the 1980s and have been unable to get away from each other since!
When not finding Lost Diaries, Steve Skidmore still teaches and both Steves write extensively for several publishers. Between them they have written, or contributed to, well over forty books. They enjoy working with children and were writers in residence at a local school during the National Year of Reading. They also perform at many festivals during the year, working tirelessly to promote history as fun!
Steve Barlow lives in Derbyshire with his wife and two children. His hobbies include walking, sailing and dodging the attentions of enraged historians. Steve Skidmore lives in Leicester and enjoys rugby and live comedy.
